Can Games Please Start?
Alright, I’ll admit I am addicted to baseball. I probably check the websites for the Dodgers, MLB and ESPN ten times a day. I really want games to get going so there is something to discuss other than how some non-roster invitee handled run down drills, when will Manny and the Dodgers finally stop acting like a married couple and sign a contract or how many hundreds of millions did the Devil’s franchise spend on players this year.
I did find this story about Tommy Lasorda and A Rod interesting this morning. I will admit A Rod is one of the few people I never thought did steroids– along with my favorite Dodgers of the era. I guess if Tommy can be fooled I’m not a complete idiot. He is afterall the greatest baseball mind of our time!
Unprofessional and Whining (Still)…
Brad Penny was quoted on Yahoo! Sports saying he is happy to be out of LA. Well, after the unprofessional way he left town last year in a hissy fit instead of supporting his team in the playoffs I’m glad you’re out of LA as well Brad. Penny states he hopes he will have a chance to learn a few things about pitching from John Smoltz. Perhaps the first thing he can learn from Smoltz and most of the Boston Red Sox is how to be a team player who acts professional at all times– except when thinking about, talking about or playing the the devils franchise.
